Hazar Deniz Eker Freelance Journalist

About

I write stories on civil unrest, migration and populism and work as the editor for the Democracy and Human Rights Desk at the European Correspondent.

I got my start in writing through sharing accounts of Turkish immigrant experiences in Germany. Staying on the topic for the subsequent years, I built an academic and professional background in EU-Türkiye relations as a researcher.
